Can't believe I missed this thread. Great pics Chris. Would love to go there myself.
My brother just came home after making almost the same journey. I haven't seen his photo's yet as he lives 300 km from here.

You don't live to far from Normandy, certainly closer than I did. Plan a trip next year for the 70th Anniversary.

Well, I'm going to, but not next year. I'm planning on going to Germany to the Ruhr dams and Dresden. I hope I can stop by at Colditz, too. France can wait.

Indeed Chris. I have read with interest as in less than 2 weeks I shall be over taking the exact same photos of the same places, I suspect. Your thread gave me useful tips on what to see and where. Mine is an organised tour, so we won't be visiting all the places you and your wife did, but your thread was most interesting and useful nonetheless and I'll be using it for my own photo thread on my return.
