Got it. 
They never did fix the nav lights on the Ta-183 though. The actual lights still appear just ahead of the wingtips when you switch them on. It's like they're suspended in mid air all the time. Ah well. I'm sure a few other glitches were never addressed either.
On the up side though, I love the new Italy and desert maps. Finally, a desert map with realistic sand tones instead of flesh coloured sand. More detailed too.
