The squadron carried out night operations of the French coast in preparation for D-Day, mainly attacking E-boats and submarines but also other shipping.[7] It also provided escort to Coastal Command Beaufighters carrying out night strikes. Wellington wreck (MP705) located near the Sifnos Island at the Cyclades, Aegean Sea. The aircraft ditched there after it suffered battle-damage during the night of Nov 7, 1943. All members of the crew reached the coast safely.

IMHO the serial could be W566? though. But the W 568? seems to be fit as well. The "W" serials indicate the Mk.II series but she looks like the the Mk.IC. No wonder, the order from the Weybridge , the contract no. B71441/40 for 300 Mk.II ( initially for 400 Ic and 400 II ) was changed and a part of the Wellington series was built as Mk.Ic and Mk.VIII. The landscape is similar to the one of the North Africa. The individual code latter is "V". The possible serials are W5660,5663-5669. I would exclude the W5668 because it was a Wellington Ic coded "T", initially belonged to the no.304 squadron and then to the no.311 one. Also the W5663 Mk.Ic of no.75 (NZ) Sqn. coded AA-O and lost in 1941 over Germany. The W5664, 103 Squadron lost over Germany 1942. The W5665, 300 Squadron lost over Germany 1941. the W5666, 300 Squadron crashed at sea 1941. The W5667, 14 OTU collision in the air 1943. The W5669 - ?.

The W5680, 99 Squadron, 12 June 1941 lost obver Germany. The W5681, 38 Squadron, 6 May 1941 crashed at El Qasba, Egypt. The W5682, 311 Sqdn. lost in an aircraft accident over Devon in 1942. The W5683, 148 Squadron, 6 September 1941 crashed south east of Benghazi, Libya. The W5684, 115 Squadron, 3 September 1941 lost due to the bad weather over Devon. The W5685, 37 Squadron, at Shallufa, Egypt, 29 May 1941 collision with another Wellington. The W5686 ?. The W5687, Delivery Flight J, 7 May 1941, aircraft accident at sea east of Gibraltar.
