Vought Floatplane from Cruiser Milwaukee

Hello everyone, reading about the USS Milwaukee (CL-5), it's thought that the original floatplanes were Vought VE-9s. Attached is a photo from the cruiser's Pacific cruise from January to April 1938, the floatplane equipped being not a VE-9, but what appears to be a Vought FU-2 conversion.

Not an expert by any means but at a guess an O2U Corsair looks close

A Vought FU-1 or UO-1 look good too. Can't get a good look at the tail in your pic.

O3U-1, an O2U Corsair variant. Both of these photos appear to be of CL-5 VCS planes and the model is visible on the tail.
