George Washington was deathly afraid of being buried alive. After he died, he wanted to be laid out for three days just to make sure he was dead.

President James Garfield could write Latin with one hand and Greek with the other simultaneously.

The longest inaugural address by a US President was given by William Henry Harrison. It was one hour forty five minutes long during an intense snow-storm. He died of pneumonia.
 
Sounds like Harrison's address was longer than his presidency. I believe it only lasted one month.
