Not exactly a "model kit", but picked this up last year for the kids when I was on a business trip in the Netherlands.
It was randomly for sale in the hotel lobby with the usual watches and stationary that they sell.

The hotel itself was cool and I assume has an interesting WW2 past as it's a converted prison. Although I couldn't find anything out about it. Hotel Het Arresthuis Roermond

Anyway the box is cool, it required assembly, it's WW2 and I'm calling it a model + it got my girls (7 & 11) slightly more interested in flight and aircraft.... and I had fun flying it 😀

And yes it's a bit creepy sleeping in old prison cells.

Thanks for moving, didn't realise I'd stuck this in the wrong section 👍

Did you have a cellmate?

Ha ha. Well the rooms were made from two cells. Still with original doors.

Although not a cell mate, there was a very large photo/portrait of the last cell occupants of each particular cell on the wall to keep you company at night.

And although clearly a very old prison, apparently it was in use for drug related criminals until fairly recently. This then leads into the little sweet treat they put on your pillow each night instead of the typical chocolate (photo) ....

They only closed the place because it didn't have a toilet in each cell.
