Road construction on my street. The main intersections east and west of me are blocked. Have to go into escape and evade mode down back streets to get in and out.

And everywhere else in Minnesota. I swear I was on one detour in Osseo, MN. and then they detoured the detour!!!

Here where I live, there are signs and roads all torn up. Nary a worker to be seen anywhere. It's been rainy. Even when it's sunny, you definitely don't see them.

Same here, they close the road down, rip it up, then just leave it sit for weeks/months.

Up there they should know better. It's gets frosty up there earlier than it does here. Minnesota falls and winters are rough.

We've had a 1km section of highway marked at 70km/h for 5yrs because of a pipeline project on a side-road; tandems were using the side-road 24/7 and it takes a while to get up to speed. Makes sense.....but the project was completed almost 2yrs ago and the signs are still there. Only the tourists slow down now

If a local sped up here they would be booked. It took four years of public demands before the revenue raisers stopped booking people for failing to stop at a railway crossing on a closed rail line.

Trying to order some new shoes...what frustration. I generally have to order out of the UK, as the only colors I can get here in the states, for the size and style I wear, is either black or white....White doesn't cut it working on a nasty hangar floor and getting everything on them that we do. Hate black as it screams old man...besides just hating black anyway.
