I hate that some foods are not available locally.

I love a good blood pudding and the only one locally is Don and as the advert says when corrected Is Don, is crap. I was getting a good one mailed from Sydney but they changed their recipe so I can now only get on my trips to Brisbane.
 
Stupid kid got her second citation today and even got had the special bracelets on! When it was all said and done, no charges for the theft. She says people were lying and it wasn't her fault (as usual). I expect no changes and her to be in orange before she is 18. She just doesn't learn. She was grounded and had no permission to leave, but she does anyways. I have secured the window multiple times and she has forced it open each time, so I am just let things fall as they may.
 
Took the longbow to the archery range, upon pulling arrows from the target felt a sharp pain in the palm of my hand, then another, then several in inner side of my elbow. Looked down and found I was surrounded by Yellow Jackets, with several stuck in my arm. Got stung by 6 of them total, had to give up archery for the day as my palm had started to swell up a little and was a little painful.

Hate those buggers and red wasps even more. I'm quite allergic to the reds and depending on where I get hit, it can mean a fast trip to the ER.

Cocoa, Florida (NOT Cocoa Beach) used a similar approach.

Along Highway A1A south of Cocoa Beach they decided to add pedestrian crosswalks that featured blinking caution lights that activated when someone wanted to cross the road. The caution lights did NOT require the traffic to stop for the pedestrians but just be alert for them. Killed a little girl tourist in short order. And for that matter, one day I activated the RED stoplights to cross the road at a location further north and was nearly hit by a bicyclist who missed me by a very few inches when he ran the light and swerved into the Left northbound lane, - and then himself came within a few inches of being hit by a BMW that ran the light as well. We nearly had a three way collision. I don't do that no more.
 
One of the surprises I encountered was Fire Ants, when I lived in Texas. Nasty little buggers. How could I forget the scorpions!
 
If I may express an annoyance involving fire ants and the bureaucrats who "know" how to care for we poor serfs. The fire ants could be & were controlled in Texas, Louisiana also, by methyl chloroform. It was available in Texas in quart cans. A cap full poured in the top of the ant hill penetrated down through the mound, the fumes killing all the ants who were at home. In 1986, some genius at OSHA decided the chemical was an "air pollutant" and destroyed the ozone "layer" in the upper atmosphere. It was not explained how it did that, since it is heavier than air, same as rocks, balls and sticks thrown in the air. Shortly after it was prohibited, I immediately purchased six pack spray cans of Gunk brand brake cleaner as often as I could at the parts house because it worked the best on car parts and brake parts. I figured I would have enough stash to last until the industry came up with a new cleaner that worked.
Shortly after Hurricane Katrina I moved to a semi-rural area with a plentiful supply of red ants and used the quart cans of the old Texas manufacture and eliminated the ants. The three quarts lasted five years and the ozone still exists. The last ten years the ants get a dose of brake cleaner. I only have three spray cans left and am in the market for an anteater.

Or, to paraphrase the Science, any risk of a global pandemic that wipes out humanity is far outweighed by the enormous piles of cash I can make f-ing with this stuff.

So an update here. The helmet was shipped from the west side of Missouri. I live on the east side near STL. The package made it to STL on the east side, then was sent to Kansas City back on the west side, and next to Arlington, Texas where it sits.

The ineptitude of the postal service is mind boggling.
