You would be amazed at how many non USPS packages for Australia e travel via Austria.
My US bank recently sent a USPS letter to me addressed to Mt Perry, American Samoa and it got to me just 6 days after posting.. What is amazing about that is that mail from Sydney usually takes 12-14 days.

I can believe it. When we flew to Vienna on a weekend trip from Germany we saw an office in the Airport, specifically set up for American's who thought they were flying to Australia. We thought it was a joke, but the employee said you would be surprised at how many American's misbook their flights.
We were in Salzburg last summer, and we bought hats/t-shirts that said "There are no Kangaroos in Austria."

I find also, many Americans think Swiss and Sweden are the same.
It is a real thing that comes up from time to time. I have been at trade shows where Australian stands/companies are grouped in with Austrian ones.I can believe it. We have that problem here in Spain.
There is the city of Palma de Mallorca (shortened to Palma), which is the capital of the Balearic Islands and of the island of Majorca.
Then there is the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (shortened to Las Palmas), one of the capitals of the Canary Islands and of the island of Gran Canaria.
And then there is the island of La Palma (Madonna's "La isla bonita"), also in the Canary Islands.
In the US you have the Washington problem (no political pun) with the DC and the State. It is an issue for foreigners (or US citizens) ?

I think buying my first Dremal tool was one of the best purchases I have ever made. It proved to be useful in so many way that I bought more of them, mostly copies, or Dremals produced under another name, like Craftsman. I even have one powered by four AA cells designed to clean your balls when you go golfing. I figure you can never have too rotary tools and I saw one on line made by "WEN" at a good price and ordered it. I keep most of the Dremals at my airplane hangar but decided I should have one handy at home. So I put the Wen in a nice little modified Craftsman plastic tool case along with a box of assorted rotary tool accessories.
I needed a Dremal for a project at home and hauled out the Wen for the first time. I was distressed to find that it appeared to be of good quality but that none of the accessories would fit the tool. The collet that holds the drills, cut off wheels, brushes, etc was too small to grip the shank of any of the accessories. So I hauled it over to the hangar and this morning decided to go through my extensive collection of accessories and find some that fit.
But nothing would fit. I wondered why anyone would build a rotary tool that nothing would fit. But I had purchased a small cheap rotary tool from Harbor Freight; in fact they used to give them away if you had a coupon. It came with some accessories, including a number of different sized collets. This was a bit odd, really, because the thing is so weak it is perilously close to being utterly useless. I have found it only good for sanding down my thicker toenails when they get too thick for comfort and working on plastic model kits. It is so weak that you can't do much damage to either your toes or the kits; contrast this with the typical Dremal, which, with an unlimited supply of cut off wheels, could dismantle a Tiger Tank given enough time.
I found the assortment of collets and started trying them out on the Wen. None of them fit anything. Finally I took the one collet that looked to be the closest to something useful, chucked it in my vise, and started trying to modify it. Most of the accessories were too large to do any good and I did not seem to have a drill bit the right size, either. Fortunately I had bought a small collection of alledgedly diamond tipped rotary accessories, and eventually found one that looked like it would produce useful results. I chucked it in my Craftsman Dremal and started grinding away on the inside of the collet. And so I produced a collet that does enable the Wen to use the other accessories.
So, if you see a Wen for sale, be aware that you'll need another rotary tool in order to render it useful as well as bits from that Harbor Freight nearly useless little rotary tool. And be careful around your toenails.

The most common city and also county name in the U.S. is Jefferson. At least one in every state and sometimes two versions in a state.
Unfortunately, most younger U.S. citizens have geographic difficulty in their own country. When I was in the fifth grade, 1952, each student had to recite from memory every state and it's state capitol as well as pointing to it on a board with state outlines, no labels. Of course, it was easier then, only 48 states.
