Looks like a blast!We had a full Car weekend Starting Thursday night for the Woodward Dream Cruise, Drove the V8 Solstice Thursday and Saturday, And Friday we were supposed to drive the 1971 Catalina Freeway Enforcer in the Lights and Siren Parade on Woodward ave in Ferndale MI. But after blowing a head gasket late last month, it sprung a fuel leak warming up Thursday afternoon. But the shop doing the restro work let me drive their 1990 Caprice Cruiser Friday to the show and in the Parade.
1st Picture the Leaky Catalina in the shop, engine back together and running well but now a fuel leak back by the Fuel tank.
2nd the Catalina and the Shops old Police Cruisers
3rd the 1990 Caprice Cruiser they let me drive before dressing it for the show.
4th the 1990 Caprice fully dressed for the show and parade
5th a bad cell phone shot of us lining up for the Lights and Siren Parade. While I was dissapointed my car did not make the event I am very grateful the shop let me participate in the event with there 3rd car. They also brought their genuine 1977 Plymouth Fury, and 1984 Plymouth Grand Fury ex Michigan State Police cars. The Caprice I drove was originally an Indiana State Police Cruiser, Marked up as Peninsula County Sheriff car. Had alot of fun this weekend. But am now beat and sun burned!
