Having a staff meeting this morning expecting a short nap. Then they called me up for one of the staff of the month awards. i was quite surprised. I thought whatever, but the other teachers told me somebody must have thought I was doing something right. She said I should appreciate it. Supposed to be a Phoenix, but I think it looks like a cockatoo

I'm sorry you are going through that mess. Reminds me of my visit to see my father-in-law in Russia. He had gotten hit by a car and was laid up in the local hospital. The bed he was on was bare springs, with a wooden board, that had curved over time from the patients laying on it, covered with a thin mattress. The light fixtures were simple neon lights, some missing bulbs, and other fixtures that were either hanging from the wall by their wires or absent all together. Any blankets they had was provided by the family, along with most of the food. The floor throughout the facility had dips in it and was uneven. They had performed surgery on his leg. It had been broken just above the knee. Where they stitched him up I swear looked like black yarn. This facility was in a modern city, Nab. Chelny, about three hours drive from Kazan. Makes me glad I'm in the U.S.

GF and I are going to the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo, MI. Every third Saturday some of us from the Kalamazoo Scale Modelers model club go there to work on models. This is our main outreach to let people know the club exists. New members are always needed.
