Well, yesterday was warm and sunny, with a bit of a breeze. Perfect for getting on the bike. Which I did. Today, however ..... snow. Again. A pretty typical April here, so it'll be in door training for a couple of hours, then stuffing my face

My brother worked the flight line loading up 52's in 1971.
Same base Bob Hope did one of his last show's at.
He was one of those guys sitting in that truck off in the distance, that they showed on TV.

Today, having more or less completed doing my taxes, I am sitting on the back porch, trying to read, but keep getting interrupted by the Blue Angels flying over.

Yeah, one day it's a Moon Rocket then the Blues are buzzing the house and then just to keep things interesting Space X will shoot off a Falcon 9 or two. Never any peace.
It's a hard knock life.
When the Thunderbirds come they seem to use the front door of my house as the aiming point for their shows. At least the Blues did not do that.

Today final course work. Then three credits left to finish course. My advisor told me to switch my dissertation to next spring, which I did.

Well, turns out that the flying yesterday was just the Blue's practice session. They came back today for the real show, preceded by an Red White and Blue F-16 aerial demo.
And Space X launched a Falcon 9 this morning. Did not hear the rocket but did hear the twin sonic booms of the returning first stage.
But I awoke at around 0400 this morning and found that my sinus allergies had done the usual for this time of the year and put fluid in my inner ears that left me dizzy. Did my ear draining maneuver and took some pills. And in the process I found the main bathroom toilet fill valve was leaking. What else can go wrong? I thought I was ready for that and had some spare seals on hand. When it was light enough out to see I went outside and shut off the water - and then had about a hour of frustration, finding out the new seal did not fix the problem. Finally swapped the top of the valve off a spare I had and that did it.

I sympathize with your sinus issues (I am sometimes gifted with teeth pain from it) and the like is for the wonderful feeling of having the spare part.

The Blue Angels just flew directly over my house at an altitude of approximately "nought" feet.
That might just be the loudest thing I have ever heard in my life and definitely is the loudest thing I have ever heard in my house.
I went out and checked to make sure the laundry on the line was still there and might better go up on the roof to see if I have any loose shingles.
But no, sinus are still affecting my balance today.

The Birds have been right over my house many times. Several years back they came over every day for a whole week! But those F-16's have only one engine each, set to Ridiculous Noise levels. The F-18's were way noisier!
