Marketing genius on their part, too.
They record one album, Low Budget.
Huge commercial success.
They tour for it, brings in loads of $$$ as they draw in both old fans, and new ones.
The whole tour is recorded and selections are assembled into A SECOND ALBUM, One for The Road.
Huge commercial success.
They tour for that album and it brings in even MORE $$$!!!
In '79/'80, it was literally raining $$$ on these guys!
You write one album and get two albums and two tours off of it.
...I believe there may have been another live album made from that second tour, also.
Genius. Absolute genius.
