I love the Indiana Jones movies. This one seems to be getting bad reviews. or?

I liked it. I think it was better than the last one.
Was it "the best one?". I don't think anything will ever stand with Raiders, but I had fun with this one. It's a different movie. There's a very sly/clever theme of youthful zest vs. the wisdom of experience. It runs under the whole movie.
I really liked the character of Helena Shaw, too.
I noticed the similarities between her's and Indy's lives. I think she's, very softly, being suggested as a possible female replacement for Ford.
I wouldn't mind it. I thought she did a helluva job in that movie. Much better character/casting choice than "Mutt" from the last film.
I say it's worth going to see Rob.

"Total Recall" remake/reboot or whatever they're calling Hollywood's inability to write original movies these days.

The special effects were good, but they ruined the storyline. Watched about halfway in and gave up.

"John Wick, Chapter Four". Boring, repetitive "jap slapping", and pointless. Gave up after about 35 minutes.

However, I also watched a "behind the scenes" video on the making of the new "Mission Impossible" movie.
Love him or hate him, Tom Cruise put a lot of work Into all of his own stunts, including the driving, base jumping and skydiving.
Looks like it'll be well worth seeing.

*SNIP*
I was afraid of that, was pretty much on the fence and may just give this one a pass, much like the Indiana Jones movie. Sorry, don't care to see a 90 pound girl traipsing around as a fake badass.

Girls and I watched "The WIld RIde" with a young Jack Nicholson, lots of old cars and hot rods. Easy to see why Nicholson became a mega star, dude had chops even back then.

However, my oldest daughter and I have been watching each other (re)play Fallout 4 with many jokes and hijinks included.

Two on the "too see" list, girls want to go see Oppenheimer with me and my sons and I are planning to catch the next installment of "DUNE". Can't wait for either.
