Agreed that Nazi Germany was way better at nasty office politics than everybody else, and it helped the allies win the war.Yes the entire German air force chief of staff was very weird...Udet and Jeschonneck suicides clearly paints a picture that political desicions and poor ability to make right moves about airplanes types to be debveloped was chaotic.

No 4 engine bomber....and fighter that was too much in take offs and landings for many pilots etc.
Buyt I bet a nation under dictatorship causes this kinda failures.
How would a four engined bomber have helped the Germans win the war? They lacked the resources to run a sustained strategic bombing campaign over Great Britain, much less Russia or the USA. The Bf109 was tricky to land and take off, but how much worse was it than everything else? There is a documentary out there called Spitfire Girls which I recommend you watch. It was all about the ATA pilots, mostly women, who delivered aircraft to the squadrons in Great Britain. The, by then quite old, ladies got together and they agreed that Spitfires with their light, responsible controls, were ladies' aircraft. A few clips later, an old lady remarked that the Spitfire "was a lady in the air, and she was a bitch on the ground." I understand that P40 Warhawks could be a handful. Think about B26 Marauders.
The big technology failure of the Luftwaffe was two-stage superchargers. These were not required for tactical air power. They were desperately needed when P47 Thunderbolts showed up to escort American bombers at 25,000ft plus.
What the German jet fighters needed was alloying materials that would keep turbines in one piece at jet exhaust temperatures. Stuff was coming from North Africa, but the supply was cut off for some reason after 1943.
The problem is not dictatorships. It is warmongering autarkies. Unless you are a massive continental power like the USA or Russia, you need peaceful trade to get all the materials you need. This precludes waging against everyone around you.
