Just going to put this out there, for what it's worth:All terrain tires so you dont get stuck .
Niether we are talking about putting a sand capable tire on a medium bomber and saying Auf Wiedersehen to the idea of flying boats .Are we talking about a Landrover or Jeep here?
Flugboote einschließlich der BV 238 sind nutzlos Solange der mittlere Bomber lebt. And before you ask im using google for this i dont speak german. Are we talking about a Landrover or Jeep here?
My thread on the do24 has all those posabilitiesThe DO 24 is an interesting bird. Originally a plane built to a Dutch requirement for an all metal design for the Dutch East Indies.
The first couple had Jumo engines followed by three with Wright Cyclones.
After Germany took the Netherlands the Do 24 had the BMW Bramo fitted although they had already received 11 licence built planes with Wright
engines.
Over 40 were built in France as well.
The Do 24 served on both sides of the fence and in the middle as well. German and Dutch use for starters followed by Australian use of the models
sent to the East Indies.
Spain used the DO24 for sea rescue work where people from both sides were picked up as necessary.
Sweden ended up with one which was forced to make an emergency landing there.
Lots of different options for modellers in that one.
as per your other thread, this is just trolling.Flugboote einschließlich der BV 238 sind nutzlos Solange der mittlere Bomber lebt. And before you ask im using google for this i dont speak german.
Well this one has all terrain boots and wingsYour original question had some legitimate basis and it was explained in great detail but then it got weird, like next you're going to ask why airplanes have propellers when flapping wings can work just as well.
Thank you. Good to see this thread still somewhat on track. Does anyone know who does 1/72 scale models of the 24 ?My thread on the do24 has all those posabilities
Italeri sold me one perhaps twenty years ago, i think it was quite nice quality. Honestly I don't know if they are still selling them.Thank you. Good to see this thread still somewhat on track. Does anyone know who does 1/72 scale models of the 24 ?
You can't land airplanes weighing tons onto sand. Well, you can, but you won't have a flyable airplane, and may not have a crew to fly it.
Actually it depends on the sand/beach. During the Korean War the allies used some of the beaches of islands off North Korea as emergency landing fields, the RAAF had at least one Meteor land, be repaired and take off. Report from one of the engineer officers who did the repair, flew in using a C-47. State of the tide was considered important.Of course you can… Once
