One in three Texans are fat.

Take a look at the Curtiss S03C Seamew. Admiral Halsey had them removed from fleet duty and replaced by the earlier, and proven Curtiss SOC Seagull biplane, the plane the Seamew was meant to replace. The SOC was the only USN non utility class biplane to see continuous service in all theaters during wwii.

Hey dinos7, great pic of a 190!

OK, no takers on the Zubr, so maybe we could discuss the Fisher P-75. It was conceived as a way to use up spare parts. Outer wings of a P-40, P-40 canopy, Dauntless vertical tail, plus more cannibalization. By the time they made it into a viable aircraft, it was a completely new design.

One last great characteristic of the P-75 ... it was so ugly they'd have to tie a roast beef to it to get a dog to sit nearby.

ouch

i will agree though she is ugly.........

I know! The bombers are like flying shoeboxes than they are aircraft! Its as if the French wanted to bomb Germany with shoes...

it was a bit big for that though, dissapointing performance too, plus the noseweel was a bit too revolutionary for the RAF, and try telling the downed airmen the Lerwick saved that she was a waste of money........
