The Blackburn Botha is a good example, designed as a torpedo bomber, 580 built, underpowered and unstable, turned in a trainer and killed many students, turned into a target tug..... should have been lined up on the ground and just used as a target! (note: I am an ex Blackburn's apprentice).

As an ex apprentice, would you happen to have any scale drawings or photos that might be of use for us model builders?

If so, would like to hear from you.

How about the Japanese Shindin. I don't know the designation offhand. That's the pusher fighter with a long nose gear.

Herman He-119 (I think). That's a rare large plane with a single pilot & all-glass nose with the drive shaft in the middle for a single propeller. Does anyone have drawings or photos? THAT would make for an interesting modeling subject.

KevinJ: you listed Corsair. Why? They were all over the Pacific.
Not the Brewster manufactured F4U, the F3A.
Over 300 manufactured for the USN and none were fit for combat, used mostly for stateside training and over 400 that went to Britain and were used only for limited training, too.
