Quite a few of the aircraft on that list did not see service at any time.The Meteor's official speed record was set post-war (with an F.4) - only the F.1 and F.3 saw service during WWII.
There's some listed, but you have to weed through the long-winded fantasy list to find them.I note that all the UK WW2 Jets are missing from the table.
Or the actual speed rated for a particular type (meaning real aircraft, not fantasy drawings) like the He280 for example - it was fast for it's time, but max. speed was about 501 mph not 560 or whatever they had listed.Honestly, the problem with charts like these: They're too simplistic.
They fail to reflect altitude on speed.
