WWII B17 "Dimples Darling"

[Dimples Darling]

My Dad, John G. Viser, was a co-pilot of this B-17 and I would love any information anyone might have on it and its flights and crews, etc. I also am looking for his flight jacket which has a B-17 painted on the back with the Dimples Darling name and "Timmie" on the front pocket, which was my Dad's nickname for my Mom. He died a long time ago at the young age of 62, and though he was a Pastor by occupation, wanted to be buried in his dress uniform. He always said it was the most important thing he had ever done in life. It seems that his crew also called him "Preacher John" or something similar because he always had his Bible and prayed with them.

My name is Edwin Bennett. My uncle was the pilot on Dimples Darling. His name was Edwin "Ed Tom" Parrott. He passed away a few years ago. He talked a lot about his crew.

He was in the 8th USAAF, 94th Bomber Group, out of Bury St. Edmunds and flew approximately March of 1944 to May 1945. He was a 1st Lieutenant flying Co pilot to Eddie Parrott in Dimples Darling. Anything anyone knows would be wonderful!

I just came across this site. My father 1st Lieutenant Louis Marion was the navigator on Dimples Darling and flew with this crew. He spoke fondly of Ed Parrott and the crew many times before his passing in 2008. Still have pics my father took of crew and combat in WWII.

Attached are pictures my father Louis Marion took of crew members. My dad is in the first pic with head set and second pic on far left. Not sure who is who. Hopefully someone will recognize a picture and share info. I will follow up later with more pics of combat & general info.

Strange, i cant find the crew or plane on fold3. Nobody named Marion in the rosters. Also not in the american air museum.

If you google 94th Bomb Group- three captions down to 94th Bomb Group/B17 Flying Fortress if will give you a list of all B17s assigned to the 94th Bomb Group. Page 14 has Dimples Darling. I have attached a link below. You will need to cut and paste.

Unfortunately I cannot find a list of crew(s) assigned to this aircraft. Apparently there were 3 different squadrons assigned. I was hoping the pictures I included might spark recognition from someone. If you find anything please let me know.
