Hi. A question here.
There is lots of USAAF and USNAF combat reports in the web and all of you can read it if you want. I bought a japanese combat reports book. It is pretty thick, expensive and it wrote with kanji. I need long time to read it completely. However I cannot found Luftwaffes one...

“B-24 bombers were also extensively used in the Pacific area after the end of World War II to transport cargo and supplies during the rebuilding of Japan, China, and the Philippines.”
I have no notice of B24 operations after the end of WWII, AFAIK. Certainly B24 was a difficult...

As an off shoot from the F-35 thread.

Just recently, I picked up two books from a local S/H dealer, both in very good condition. They are both about the aerial defense of Nothern Australia during 1942 to '45, when the Japanese bombing raids were taking place on Darwin and some smaller towns. The first is called "Darwin Spitfires"...

I have read that the idea of putting supercharged but non-turbocharged engines on the P-61 was Jack Northrop's idea (presumably to save the weight and space of the turbos and their big intercoolers), and I have read that...
