I would like to "recycle" my old Tamiya kit in an aircraft "probably" flown by Toshio Ota from Tainan Kokutai, 2nd Chutai during summer 1942.
Not a big problem to engrave panel lines on the fuselage, but I think the cockpit is very poorly detailled...
I looked for some photo-etched or resin...
Hello,
I don't know if it's the good place for this thread... :|
I found in my stock a Tamiya Kit, The bf 109E-4/7 Trop. 61063. Normally it was for build "White 12" flown by J. Muncheberg but I decided to build his FW 190A-2 w.nr.20209.
So, I would like to "transform" this E-4 kit in an E-7...
I'm just wondering? Could this be done. Fuselage would need some serious surgery and it would need different shaped engine nacellers and a larger tailfin.
But the G4M2/3 also had a redesigned wing with a thicker profile and different airflow.
I have no idea how different the wing is of a...
I'm pleased to report that I have actually finished one of my started model kits!!! :D
It took some time, but here's my Tamiya Spitfire (which leaves me wanting to start another one...so I did- refer to last pictures of new build!)
I understand that there might be some things that need to be...

Hello all and long time no see. Here are my two recent builds. Both Tamiya 1/48 and finished with tamiya piants . I have five planes built from the 352nd FG and plenty more in the works :)

I just did a test on my I-16 using Tamiya Flat Clear XF-86(not to be confused with Tamiya Flat Base XF-21), this after the debacle with the PBY.(I don't know why I did both elevators ) Once again the flat went cloudy, see photos below, the circled part shows where I missed. The gloss...
Hey, all, thought I'd put up some photos of my builds. Some of these are in Andy's thread about the Western Canadian Regional contest but some haven't seen the light of day until now. Comment as you see fit, just be gentle...and funny...
Franzisket's 109E-7. Hobbycraft kit with some tweaks...
Does anyone have a set of decals for the Tamiya 1/48 F-16C Thunderbird? It would be kit # 61102. I just need both decal sheets. If you have a set, PM me with cost and shipping to 60193 in the USA.
Thanks in advance!
After flogging myself over some kitbash or other I decided I needed a quick slammer to cleanse my aching head. What could be better than a Tamiya kit, eh? That's what I thought when I embarked on this build. I shall attempt to rise above my PTSD long enough to show you how NOT to build this...
Hi all,
Here's one I just finished - a P51B Mustang of the 355th FG/ 358th FS "Ole II" flown by William J Hovde.
As always with these Tamiya Mustangs, the build was straightforward, but I had some issues with painting that forced a strip and restart! Anyway, hope you like it.

Here are some pics of my recently finished Emil done up in Galland's markings, circa late 1940. Much like my previous post of Gabreski's Jug, the subject matter has perhaps been done to excess, but I couldn't resist this one... there is such a rich history behind the man and this machine. Once...
