Next up in my modelling life reincarnation is this 1/72 Matchbox ME 410 that's literally as old as I am.

I'd started the very basic construction back then, give up and stashed up the attic a few years back when I lost the bug.

The kit was missing half of an nacelle out of the box so at the time I picked up a resin DB-603 to resuse the kit modelled as having some maintenance carried out.

So this evening it made its reappearance and I commenced hacking apart the DB.

Will update further tomorrow.

Any nice photos of A2-U4 cockpit appreciated as I may try and tart up the sparse interior.

Thanks Andy, the kit is completely baron so anything added will be a bonus. Even the seats are generic bench type.

Ok so work on the Db is happening at a slow pace. Wow what a learning curve this is bending tiny bits of PE to make engine mounts etc.

I'd finished assembling the basic engine block and thought I'd give it a test fit.

Yes, that doesn't fit.

So trimmed a little of the back and underside and managed to get something workable and continued to assemble.

Fitted the supercharger, then realised it wouldn't fit, and wouldn't be seen, so chopped it off again.

Having settled on what will fit and be seen I've continued now to fabricate and fit some of the smaller components.

Still need to tweak a few wire and fittings positions once glue has full cured on the main fixing points.

Actually enjoying working on something so small and intricate.

The work continues.
