Damaged taxying 80 miles east of Telergma, Algeria on the 29th June 1943. Licata, Sicily on the 1st of September 1943. Sciacca, Sicily on the 6th October 1943. Ferried to England departing Sciacca on the 12 of February 1944. Routed via El Aounia, Tunis, Tunisia; Anfa Field, Casablanca, French Morocco; St Mawgan, Newquay, Cornwall; Barkston Heath (Station 483) on the 18th February 1944. Ninth Air Force. Transported paratroopers of the 2nd Battalion, 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment to a drop zone near Sainte-Mère-Église, Normandy, France on Mission 'Boston' 6Jun44. During a 14th TCS night formation flight on the 7th of January 1945, the radio operator parachuted from the aircraft for no apparent reason. His body was found on the ground the next day with no parachute attached – and the parachute later found separately 4½ miles away opened [1KIS]. Returned to USA on the 25th July, 1945 - Stored on the 28th of July, 1945 - To RFC on the 8th of November, 1945. To civil registry as NC54731, C-117 (Avianca August 1946). Reregistred HK-117 1949, converted to Hyper DC-3. Babb & Co, New York. United Nations Operation in the Congo (UNOC) on the 2nd of March 1961 as 213. 3 Squadron, UN Air Transport Force, N'Dolo Airport, Léopoldville, Republic of Congo. Stored in March 1962. SOC on the 1st April 1962.
Sold to European Research Co., Brazzaville c. January 1964.
 
Douglas C-54A-15-DC Skymaster, 42-72313 (MSN 10418/DC149) bought by Douglas Aircraft on the 20th of June 1946 and converted to DC-4, conversion No. 26. Bought by Pan American World Airways on the 21st of March 1947 and registered as N88930. Transferred to Avianca in March 1947 registered as C-135, reregistered as HK-135. Crashed into Cerro Baco Mountain 290 km NE of Lima, Peru on the 23rd of June 1959 on flight between Bogota, Colombia to Lima, Peru.
All 14 onboard killed.
 
Douglas C-54B-1-DC Skymaster, 42-72413 (MSN 10518/DC249) bought by Transair Inc in 1946 as N69327. Bought by Guest Aerovias Mexico in 1948 and registered as XA-HER. Modern Air Transport bought it in 1948 and registered as N1695M. Curtis Reid Flying Services bought it April 1950 and registered as CF-EDN named "Canadian Pilgrim". Crashed in the Alps near Grenoble, France on the 13th of November 1950, when strayed 50 mi off course while on flight to Paris.

Eighth Air Force on the 30th of March 1944. 435th Troop Carrier Group, Ninth Air Force, Welford (Station 474). Towed a glider transporting men and materials for the 82nd Airborne Division to a landing zone near Sainte-Mère-Église, Normandy, France on Mission 'Elmira', on the 6th of June 1944. Transferred to Royal AF from USAAF stocks in UK 11Oct44 as Dakota III, serial TS433; No.1 Heavy Glider Servicing Unit, 38th Airborne Forces Group, Netheravon, Wiltshire; recovered gliders from Normandy landing grounds and collected and delivered WACO, Hadrian and Airspeed Horsa assault gliders to RAF bases prior to Operation Market Garden (Arnhem); No.107 (Transport) Operational Training Unit, Leicester East on the 28th of January 1945; No.1382 (Transport) Conversion Unit, Wymeswold on the 29th November 1945; No.22 Maintenance Unit, RAF Silloth, Cumberland; Foreign Liquidation Commission; to Canadair Ltd on thec19th of December 1946. Returned to USAAF on the 29th of January 1947.
 
Douglas C-47A-80-DL Skytrain, 43-15213 (MSN 19679) Delivered to USAAF in February 1944. 91st Troop Carrier Squadron, 439th Troop Carrier Group, Ninth Air Force, Upottery (Station 462). Transported paratroopers of the 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment to a drop zone near Sainte-Mère-Église, Normandy, France on Mission 'Albany', on the 5/6th June 1944. Fitted with Model 80 glider retrieval assembly to recover assault gliders for refurbishment/re-use in future operations. Retrieved the only airworthy glider to be recovered from the Normandy invasion operation. Châteaudun (A-39), France. Flown to Prosnes (A-79), Reims, France on the 18th of March 1945 and used for trials to recover Waco CG-4A gliders with 'litter case' wounded soldiers from combat zones. First operational pickup at Remagen, Germany on the 22nd of March 1945 and wounded flown to 44th Evacuation Hospital at Dünstekoven, near Miel, 20km west of Bonn, Germany.
To Peruvian AF as FAP-360.

Returned to US on the 25th of July 1945. To RFC on the 31st October 1945. Empresa DE US Transportes Aerovias Brasil SA on the 7th of October 1946 TI-102 TACA. PP-AVR Empresa de Dransportes Aerovias Brasil "Santa Catarina" on the 7th of October 1946. Suppliers Inc. HC-ACL AREA crashed on the 10th April 1958, Chugchilan range, at Mt. Illiniza, Ecuador. All 32 onboard killed.
