I know it is not big news to most of the world but here in Canada this is a huge tournament. This is an under 20 tournament with most players being 19 years of age with a sprinkling of 17 and 18 year olds.

Tonight Canada plays against the Russians who have knocked out to very good teams, the USA and Sweden to earn the right to play for the gold medal.

If you want to steal Canada, tonight would be the time to do it as most of the country will be watching the game.

Cheers.

It is a great view from the top of the hockey world.

After taking an early 2-0 lead and building it to 5-1, the Canadian lads decided to make things interesting allowing the Russians to claw their way back into the game by giving up 3 goals in the last half of the second period. With the score 5-4 for Canada heading into the third, this country collectively held their breath for close to an hour as we twisted and turned with every Russian foray into the Canadian end of the ice but at the end of the day there was no further scoring and the canucks held on for the victory.

YeeHaw

Anyone see what the Russian Defenceman did after they lost?

He wipped his stick into the crowd narrowly missing a person's head. Sore losers for sure.
I hope they charge the Bastard.
