Can you believe that this dirt-bag, Clemmons, was out on bail for raping a child ???? What judge, in their right mind,
would allow a man out on bail with the rap sheet Clemmons had ? That's the sad part of it all, he should not have been
on the street in the first place. Today's paper said he pulled a gun on the cop, and the cop pulled the trigger first. The
gun was taken from one of the slain officers.

There is a major problem in most the country of not having enough prisons. A large number of convicts are simply released from prison even though they pose a danger to the public. I wonder how many prisons could have been built using the stimulus package. It would create many jobs and allow the public to live a bit safer and would even ease the deplorable conditions tht many convicts live in. In a nation of over 300,000,000 people it is probably safe to say that 30 to 50 million have sociopathic or criminal tendancies. There simply needs to be places to incarcerate offenders for as long as their sentances are.

If they started teaching that actions have consequences again in school, then this sort of thing would be rare.

If they started emphasizing that violent crimes have severe penalties, and then enforce those penalties, this sort of thing would be almost non-existant.

It wouldn't matter if the crime was committed with a handgun, a hammer or a bow arrow, prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.

Eliminate cable Tv and internet from prisons, no more workout playtime and make prison what it should be, a punishment...and crime would drop across the board.
