I need a decent 1:48 Goose so I can do a MacMillan-Bloedel Goose that always landed in my home town

I have what I guess is a Lindberg 1/48 Goose I have not even opened yet. But given what its age must be, I doubt it even approaches modern standards.

No, the picture below does not show a Lindberg Goose. And is that side window bulged out?

I questioned why they did this one, Airfix did their's not that long ago.
Why didn't they put the effort into something else people are asking for ?

Atlantis Model Co has a new list of their coming releases. I think that the prefix L is Lindberg, M is Monogram, H is Revell, and A is Aurora.

I have the Lindberg kit. For my greatest surprise some Lindberg kits were sold at.....Dollarama! 4 bucks apiece. I bought 2-3, some years ago. The model is not super baaaad. Can be done in a proper manner. The form of the front "eyebrows" over the windscreen is wrong though. Needs some detailing. I've seen a very detailed model, with a lot of custom parts.

A good point, the new Airfix is pretty good. maybe they were well advanced with there tooling and decided to continue on...?

If you're looking for a good Grumman Goose in 1/48, I highly recommend the Signifer kit. You can order directly from the manufacturer, although I ordered mine from him on eBay. He's located in France, so I don't know how the tariff situation will affect your costs.

Just saw a video on the history of Lindberg models. First plastic kit they produced, soon after WW2, was a 1/48 F-80B, which is still in production, although labeled as an F-80C which the nose light shows it NOT to be.

I'd like to have a good A-7D kit, since I worked on them. I have the Monogram 1/48 A-7A kit and I guess that is a reissue of the Aurora, with the flawed air intake but with some improvements. Atlantis is going to reissue the Aurora A-7D kit later this year.

In my opinion, yeah we know what that is worth, the Hasegawa A-7 is the most accurate kit on the market by a mile and a half. It is also the most detailed kit out of the box. The intake is correct to start with which evey one gets wrong. The A-7D was released by itself and the A-7E was also released by itself and later as a combined D/E. The original boxing does come with MB markings in the SEA scheme. The D/E does not and only has LV in the Lizard Euro scheme.

Yes they do, intakes are shallow and flat! I can only make a recommendation. It's your option. The HB is a nice kit but it suffers from the same issues as most other kits. You worked them, you'll know.
