This kit has been sitting on my shelf 90% complete for probably 2 years now. I never fully put it away because I wanted it there taunting me so that I would finally finish it. Well, mission accomplished at last. Maybe not my best effort, but she looks good on the shelf and I'm glad to have her done. Hobbycraft's kit is pretty straight forward. The fit is decent and the detail is ok out of the box. Not up to modern standards, but still a fun little kit. I added some details to the pit since it's pretty basic otherwise. The engine came from Quickboost and the wheels from a Hasegawa P-40 kit. The paint is Alclad and the decals came from the box. I cut out each letter and number so there would be no tell-tell clear film around them.

Thanks for looking! Time to jump on another shelf queen, a Hasegawa P-40N.

Very nice job! I love it! The engine is very well done.
And these are defenitly not "add glue and shake" kind of kits.

I hope to do a Swedish version of this kit one day, but unfortunatly, Academy suplied the wrong size of markings for this version...

I really liked your work on the engine and pit. :thumbleft:
The exterior paint is very clean, sure has just leaving the factory.

regards
