Yep thats a lot of bucks for effectively at the moment, a production run of say 100 engines total, but I'd say that RR is offering them atleast at 60% real cost.
Scaling up an enstablished and reliable engine will always cause problems different from the source engine.
I initially though it might have been a Bird Strike; thats a effing huge turbofan engine intake per engine the suction generated at climbing flight power by 4 of those monsters might have sucked a bird in from far ahead that was otherwise trying to fly away from the approaching Flying Lusitania
