I don't think anyone in Ukraine or Russia is listening to any statements of resolve from the USA until January 20th. If I've just been given a sixty day redundancy notice from my employer, my customers and competitors will scoffing at any statements I send supporting or countering their efforts.
 
I tend to agree. As I said a few days ago, I caveat any posts on this topic as being shared for info only with the likely result inevitable
