No one with any expereince is expecting these to start rolling off production line immediately. It is a Letter of Intent at this stage and indeed it has been stated that the deliveries are projected to be made over the next 10 years. Thus the talk about current capacities and the like are misplaced.2°) Dassault because of the various Rafales previous orders is working at full cadence and in its present states does not have the industrial capabilities for more ; even if the 100 planes were produced, the pilots training will be kind of a challenge.
I put this in the same class as the Gripen E/F deal. It sends a signal, helps firm up support and shows that Ukraine will be strong in the future. What would be interesting is if some used copies could be loaned/supplied in the next 12mths.I would be glad to see the orders materialised but I have my doubts.
