Back in the 80s my brother owned a Russian tractor, a Belarus, of course. Like anything Russian, it was simple, klunky, HUGE, hell for stout, and highly unsophisticated. The PTO was geared to the rear axle differential, so no motion, no PTO. Rendered his PTO powered logging winch useless. Upgraded from 6 volt system to 12 volt by adding a second 6 volt battery in series and moving one wire on the voltage regulator to another terminal.
