Many thanks for all nice comments!

By the way, I just been told by a friend on an Italian chat dedicated to the "Thunders", that the way HVARS are installed on my model aren't correct for an Italian bird.

My goal as modeller was and still is to be as much as possible historically correct, so I wait for documentation from that guy and, very likely, I will modify that detail.

So, more pictures to come sometime in the near future.

Hi, I'm here again!
I've been finally told how the rockets were installed on Italian F-84G. they were fixed straight on the wings, like in the following picture concerning a bird belonging to the Third Aerobrigata

It's not too bad, the modification should be easy. The inner pylons I could leave them empty or possibly load them with bombs, as seen in the following USA bird, but I need to check if that apply to Italian planes too

After some research work I finally came to a conclusion, also thank to a page from the manual you will se in the first picture.
Then, using my little plotted I cut some pars that, combined with other plasticard item, provided the so called "aft posts".
Then I did a trial assembly using a jig that helped keeping rockets aligned during gluing.
Meantime, I had to strip away the paint from rockets in order to be able to fill all previously drilled holes.
More to follow, hopefully soon.

Yes, very bad, but a good challenge to learn more about the plane and to practice some scratch-building.
Will see the result! Hopefully will be good.
Today I also received a couple of pieces sent by a friend that I needed to mount 500 lbs bombs on central pylons.
I will need two more, so let's go with moulding activity!
Now that looks Bad Arse Al :thumbright:

One more step forward: HVAR rockets have been installed, just need o add igniter cables. Also painted 500 lbs bombs; after a coat of gloss paint and decals , they will go under central pylons.DSCN2557.JPG
