Are There Any Jazz Lovers Out There?

I know that supposedly only 5% of Americans listen to Jazz. I'm hooked on 1960's-1950's jazz in particular, but also listen to everything jazz, including a lot of the very modern stuff. At the moment, my favorite is Bill Evan's Empathy . Two newer all-time favorites are Charlie Haden, Keith Jarret's 2010 Jasmine, and Ahmad Jamal's 2011 Blue Moon.

Jazz lovers, what's your favorite 50's/60's and current jazz?
Do you mean Schräge Musik? Everyone on this site will be into that!

Loves me some jazz. Trane, Dexter Gordon and bop really fill me out. WesMo, Kenny Burrell, and Joe Pass on guitar (I'm a guitarist) always sit well with me. Listening a lot to John Scofield lately too. Joe Lovano's playing is great too, the boy could blow.

But Joe! Good lord, he was on point.

Amazing track, wlewisiii and Corea will be sorely missed.
I was shocked to hear of his passing. I had no idea he was sick.
Return to Forever changed their sound so much between the first and second incarnation.
Your cut show the 2nd incarnation, which was so powerful and precise.
I still love that first album though. So "free and easy" and so different from what the band eventually became.
