Chris Whiteman has one of the best channels on YT. Although he uses it more as an adjunct for his teaching practice these days, the showcase music pieces he performed are absolutely exquisite.
Concerning the guitar, Chris had to say this about it, in the description section of that video...

I am using a 1959 Gibson ES-125T (thinline) and a Quilter 101 mini reverb head, pine cabinet that I built with 10" Eminence lil' buddy (Hemp coned speaker). The mic is the industry standard Royer r121 run into a Cloud Cl-1 Cloudlifter to boost the signal, Apogee Duet interface into a iMac using Logic proX. Video is shot with an Iphone X (4k) and synced in Logic. Then video is edited in iMovie (fades in and out), exported in 4x and uploaded to Youtube.

Shifting gears now, we move on...or rather back, to one of the landmark recordings in Jazz history.
Louis Armstrong's Potato Head Blues.
Recorded on May 10, 1927 by his Hot Seven group, this song can claim a few "firsts".
Although some argue that there are earlier examples, it still holds the distinction of...
...shifting the focus of the group from the ensemble to a "lead performer", in this case, Armstrong himself.
...giving a song a "pushing" feel by playing against the time. First time someone didn't play "in the pocket", as we say.
...the first time a band drops out during the main solo of the song, leaving the soloist to improvise, solely on their own.

So now that we're all caught up on this piece of history, let's give a listen to this early Jazz classic. The Potato Head Blues...

Notes from the video:
The Frankie "Tram" Trumbauer Orchestra feat. Bix Beiderbecke - Singin' the Blues.
The first minute of the song is a sax solo by Trumbauer. The second minute is Bix's cornet solo. The third minute features a short clarinet solo by Jimmy Dorsey, who was the clarinetist in Trumbauer's Orchestra at that time. The guitarist on this track is Eddie Lang.
This song is considered a jazz classic because Bix and, to a lesser degree, Tram were able to make a slow-tempo jazz ballad swing. This ability to make slow-tempo swinging jazz would later be emulated by jazz musicians ranging from Lester Young to John Coltrane to Miles Davis.
