Well, I suppose its time to cast "Revivify" on this thread!!!
And to be not "spam", here are recent photos from my trip to Semnan Province, east of Tehran.
Semnan province is nicknamed "The Cradle of History and Mysticism".
The Province is consisted of following Towns and Cities: Eyvanaki, Garmsar, Semnan (Provincial Capital City) , Sangsar, Shahmirzad, Damghan, Shahrood (Biggest and Most populated City in province), Bastam and Mayamey. The province is dotted with many "Carvansarai" and "Clay Forts" guarding the Silk Road from invaders and ravagers, many of them were active upto 1950's.
First set of photos, Showing former "Cotton Cleaning Workshop" located in the City of Garmsar, which is turned into the City's Science and Industry Museum. The building was built in 1920's by order of Reza Shah Pahlavi.
Regarding current situation, only outer premiter was open to public visitors.

There is a Caravansarai next to the building, the Gateway in previous post, was used to connect two buildings together.

Just like Milad / Azadi Towers in Tehran, the Arg Gate is a Nationwide symbol of Semnan City. Although the City Walls were destroyed to expand the city, the Arg Gate still stands.
Back in Qajar era, This gate was main entrance from North (The Mazandaran province).
Here are photos showing Inner Gate (Southern Side, going out from Semnan City.)
At Gate's Crown, is written(from bottom to top):
Al-Sultan ibn al-Sultan ibn al-Sultan,
Sultan of Sahebqeran,

Nice to see Artesh and even though built in the 1920s, I believe I see that some little bits of classic architecture have been given a modern interpretation.

Regarding "Archtecture", the time frame of 1920's and 30's is very interesting and unique. As the Country was getting modernized, new "genres" of architecture begun to apear, creating many unique sights, some are still in use.

Showing inner Brickworks, the Wooden Gate and Northern Entrance (From Mazandaran Province)
The Crown is depicting a famous scene from Iran's most famous Epic poem, the Shahnameh. It is depicting the battle between Rostam and Mazandaran's White Deev.
On the sides, on smaller crowns, are shown Qajari Lion and Sun emblem.
Below that, is the Qajari Border Guards and Artilerists, welcoming caravans and guests.
On the sides, 2 Qajari soldiers, guarding the visitors.
