I've never built one of their kits before and found it to be generally good with only a few minor niggles with fit. Overall the detail is good and I enjoyed building it and am happy with the result.

Looks pretty good. I've done a couple of their more exotic planes and have been very happy with them.

Looking very good. But I have still doubts if whether these D-day strips were applied in the way he kit instruction suggests.

Great looking model mate! With Wojtek re the invasion bands though, they do seem a little 'unusual' in this application.

Thank you for your kind comments. With regards to the D-Day stripes I looked for pictures on the web but couldn't find one with the stripes so I just have to assume that the manufacturers have researched the markings correctly.

I found this profile... the D-day strips are marked at the standard location.

Gee, that really sucks. I hate it when the kit instructions give the wrong advice.

    It still looks terrific incidentally

Well, why profile found by Wurger seems to be more correct?- authors noticed: overnigt job, various positions of stripes.
D-day spit from Czech 312 squadron:

Stripes seems similar to AZ instructions.

Very nice Spit! I'm looking forward to building one of their Mk.IX's in the future (and then their upcoming 109G's)
