You can see the depressions for the gunner's stations. Not sure if I want to drill them out or not.

Finished step 1 and started 2. No front office on this one. Decided it was to small to try and make one. Test fit, delete and glue. Lots of sanding. I still manage to miss Aline to tail. I had to carefully pry it apart and reglued it. Right wing miss engines is drying as we speak. Dry fitted the wing and there will be a big gap to fill. Never knew the B36 was a variable wing plane. . I decided to paint the interior black since nothing can be seen anyway. Thinking of painting it silver over the flat white. I read the birds were kept clean so I will not have to weather it. One location painted the area around the canopy white to help reduce the summer heat. I thought it would break up the silver.

Second wing done. I did not line it up well and have to do some sanding. Test fitting shows filler will be needed. Starting to look like a plane.

Thanks. I is my first build since I got married in 2014. I bought a kit of a Maryland, and Baltimore bomber and a Sunderland Mk I when the model shop went out of business in 2014. Need to get to work on them.

DBII : Please accept my deepest condolences. You are a real hero, IMO. Best wishes for you and your wife and best luck with this model. It is a very special one, indeed.

Thought I would add the engines tonight. Terrible fit. The parts don't line up and two are two short. I have to add the props when the engines are attached otherwise they will not spin. I'm not ready to paint yet. A little sanding and will make it work. I will try again over the weekend.

Cannot believe it has been a year since I started this. First thanks for the support. My father had a pace maker installed and is doing great. Lost my job last month after getting covid. I applied to everything possible and finally have a little down time. I bought the Atlantis B25 40 % off and went back to work on the B36. The engines did not fit good. I will have to try filling the gaps with a thick CA. Not much room to work. New phone, better camera. I had to cut the location pins, fill the holes and work the engines in place. Nothing lined up well. Still have to do a clean up.

Glad yor father is doing okay, must have been a worrying time for you also glad your back at this troublesome build, it looks like a beast of a fit in places but you seem to have it all in hand and good on you for staying with it. Look forward to seeing the finished project.
