Hi all
I want to find the photo of Bf 109G6/R6 of JG3 ,code white 1 with white comet .
Dose anyone have this photo?

A pic of white 11, 4 and 10 is featured in Prien and Rodeike's Messerschmitt F,G,K book but not white 1.

I have found these via the net..

Possible you have to update your net browser. The picture above is a profile of the White1.

How about now?

The small aperture for the cockpit ventilation still can be seen though. It is possible the covering of the airintake wasn't here mounted at all. It might have been caused by using of the kind of cockpit or just depending on a factory where differences to assembling process were introduced. Also the airintake might have been on the starboard only like the one for the Black 12.

Here you are a few shots of different G-6 kites

Greetings Gents

please do not use the late war G-14 white 7 as an examaple on the 1st page. this was former ace Oskar Romm's mount between flying high cover and going back to IV.Sturm/JG 3 as Kommandeur during November 1944. JG 3 used the wide white rumpfband for defense at the end of 1943/winter of 44 slowly fazed out during the war.

I don't think so. The airintake could have been mounted at the starboard ( look at the two shots of the Black 12). Can you see?
Also I don't think it was because of painting the comet print there. Just not all G-6s had these air intakes attached.
