Thanks for your interest. The engine was disassembled, cleaned with some new bits installed where corrosion was bad. Heads are back on crank case cover going on soon. Valve timing next then mags.

We are also building a test stand using Lancaster engine mounts welded to a frame on a trailer. Before putting our Merlin back into the Hurricane we will test run it on this new rig.

Sure. Let me know and I can show you around Nanton. Also, I can advise whent he engine will go back into the Hurricane - very slow progress as everyone's a volunteer and we're getting a test rig built for it. The oil pan is on and next will be magneto and camshaft timing.
