Hello everyone,

After seeing some fantastic CFS3 videos on youtube etc it got me thinking how do people film such good quality clips in the game...

Does anyone have any advice on how to film decent videos in CFS3?

I've got the program Fraps but is there another different/better one out there? I also have the flying camera, but have trouble flying it and filming where i want to...

Another thing, are there any good quality video editor programs around??

Appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Simon

Hey Simon,
One of the best ways to film in CFS (or any other sim, like Jane's for example) is to have a wingman up there with you filming as well.

You'll end up with extra footage that has different views and perspectives.

I use the Windows MovieMaker and I also have a cool program that came with my Photoshop, called "Image Ready". It allows you to edit frame-by-frame, rotate, resize or even create animated .gif files from footage.

Not sure where a person could get a copy, but if you have Photoshop already, then chances are good that you have ImageReady tucked away in the Jasc folder.

Hey GrauGeist,

Thanks for the advice mate!
I'm intrigued by this mention of getting your wingmen to film too...
Didn't actually know that was possible!

Could you be bothered possibly explaining how to do that?
Or would it be in a manual somewhere?

I've got Movie Maker, i just didn't think it was that good...
However if you use it i might go back and have another look over it

Thanks again

Cheers,
Simon

Getting your wingman to film while your filming is quite easy, really...

Load up a mission, have your friend join up...and while your both ingame, they're recording with Fraps too!

Bet you thought I was going to say I discovered something really cool, huh?

And MovieMaker is a great tool...though I'm sure there's some nicer (and costly) programs out there but MovieMaker is free...and free is my favorite price! :thumbright:
