Dave Niehaus, Legendary annoucer, dies

I was watching the local news and they said the Seattle Mariners legendary announcer, Dave Niehaus has died from a heart attack he was 75 years old. This is just a huge loss..He was literally the voice of the Mariners since the beginning of the franchise in 1977. I would literally turn on the radio, and turn the volume down on my TV just so I could hear him. It's a huge loss to past and present players. Anyone who was in the game of baseball knew what a big deal Dave was. famous for his phrases "My oh My" and the most popular "Grand Salami" catchphrase he'd use.

favorites like former Mariners Jay Buhner and Ken Griffey, Jr. have yet to make statements after his death as he made a big impact on their careers.

There will never be another announcer like Dave. It's a sad day in Seattle.

A sad day indeed...

I can't imagine the games being the same without him. I wonder if Rick Rizz would take his place..
