I never realized how many helicopter phots I have. I may have to post some. I have to find my CH54 photos from the 70s. I have one of the Cobra prototypes from the Patton Museum when they were at Ft Knox and a couple of early models while I was in Korea. Of course several Hueys and Chinooks.

Thought I would post something different. How about Coat Guard helos from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Some of these are prints my father made from my slides. It was normal for it to rain when we went to airshows. Did not matter the time if year. Usually the CG would have rescue demos. Some of the phots were damaged in the house flood and cropped.

I had to make the almost two hour drive through Houston to the Far side of Pasadena to inspect a car we just converted for a driver that is disabled. I usual only have to drive 90 minutes to inspect cars. I allowed 3 hours due to rain and morning traffic. I arrived early so I decided to grab lunch instead of eating in the car. Luckily, the place I needed to be was 15 minutes from the Lone Star Flight Museum. It has been a couple of years since I been there. The Me 262 was gone and so way the SBD. No where near the collection as in the 90s. Too much open space. Glacier Gal was visiting so the timing was good.

There is displays everywhere. The BB35 exhibit is no longer there. The room is now showing 3D flight movie. Upstairs has the history of Ellington Field. The AF base was closed under Bush 2. He must have hated his time there.
