Very tricky to work around the gunsight but I think taking your time like you've done will yield the best result.

Son came to town over the weekend so no real progress then, however have now scrapped and sanded the internal frame enough that it sits nicely with the canopy over the top and glued in place.
problem was i had some nice gaps either side of the canopy frame......so stretched sprue glued into the gaps to hopefully allow me to seal and clean it up to a good finish....tomorrow should tell the story...

Sanding around that forward canopy for a while and still not satisfied, the black shows not quite right....added some Silver and its definitely not to my liking....so more delicate sanding to come....

Second round of canopy edge cleanup and respray.....as i said one side looks pretty good the other not quite there by a small margin....
