Hello my fellow modelers, here's the weekly update of the Heinkel kite getting ready for the nationals due to the 18 to the 20th of October.

First of all I want to make a general suggestion if anyone is interested in applying a cheap liquid masking: Please DON´T.
It was such a waste of time trying to remove this cheap product from the clear parts, and several got stained in the process and I don't know the reason. There are several options of quality products and brands, and I really choose the WORST ever...........:tired:.

Here's the pictorial history of this odyssey but thank God, at the end you can also find several products that will remove the aforementioned stains..

First the MG 15´s were detailed in order to position them only in the dorsal and frontal gun stands (in order to avoid knocking them), in the process of detailing further the fuselage a little more.....

These aftermarket babes are a such a beauty to work with and they look extremely cool to my point of view:

And this is how the look in position and glued to its corresponding MG.... This baby goes to the dorsal gun....

Before locating the completed MG barrel in its final position, first you have to properly orient the body of the MG inside the cockpit.....

And this is how the completed and positioned MG finally looks like....

And how it looks in the greenhouse cockpit after the cleaning works of the transparent surfaces......... and more paint is needed as can be appreciated.

The brown patches or elements in the base of each MG is designed to emulate the leather protections used in order to avoid water (possibly air) inside the cockpit

The final finish is by applying with a brush the Future product......

And this is how the transparent looked like after removing the liquid masking and after having applied some vinegar and at least two glass cleaning products. I was about to have a stroke after all the work perform on this kite....

And finally this is how the kite looks like as today.....

Now it's time for the propellers, more weathering and the transparent base.

And last but not least, the electrical installation by locating a manual switch beside the SC-2000 on the belly....

Have a nice one my friends
