Great choice and great start Geo :thumbleft::thumbright:
This blue-grey cockpit color seems like the blue-grey of Ki-27 cockpit color... If it's the same, I painted mine (the Ki-27) with a mix of ocean grey and french dark blue (cockpit) :)

Thanks guys and your paint colours have been added to my growing list of paint mixes Steph. A while ago, on another site, someone gave a lengthy sermon on how a clear coat does not alter and darken a colour. It's just an illusion of the way the light reflects the colour through the clear. I think not...

....I wait now for the bulkheads to dry. :| Anyhoo.....sidewalls are weathered using Citadel Agrax Earthshade. This is a "shade", similar to a wash so says the Citadel site.

That interior is looking really nice George.
I once grabbed a bottle of MM Acryl thinking it was enamel and mixed it with airbrush thinner. Took me over an hour to clean out the airbrush

Thanks. Glenn, I thought I had cleaned all the MM out with water and windex so I gave it a cleaning with lacquer thinner. I always thoroughly clean with water at the end. When I went to shoot the green on my George, nothing would happen. I stripped the tip completely and there was a bunch of gummed up MM on the needle and in the spring. I threw everything into a small container of lacquer cleaner, let it soak and then cleaned up with a toothbrush. I'll order the appropriate thinners when I get home

good interior you've done that nice, I like more the finish in brightness for this type of interior, aotake from what I read was brightness I always use the H63 gunze and failing the C57 also gunze.

Thanks all. Finished the innards, glue is setting up, pics later. Should be able to have the fuselage together tonight. In the meantime I ordered a set of Vallejo Metal colours from here...
Vallejo Paints - Vallejo Mediums (32ml): Aluminium Dope Metal Color Set #VAL77603 [8429551776035] I've read good things about this paint. It's not Alclad but a great acrylic alternative and not as finicky. I'll be using them on this model. The full range here...Metal Color is a range of water-based metallic colors for airbrushing
