Ok first bit of progress.

My usual minimalist approach to cockpit assembly.
The colour is washed out quite by the camera, it really is darker and slightly more green than is shown.

Engine cylinders, very dark grey with a bit of silver dry brushed on

Ok more work on this.

Decided to drop the flaps, Tamiya provides a thinned plastic outline indicating where to cut out the flaps.
I cut both sides completely and lightly scored the leading edges so i could bend them down without cutting the flaps off completely.

Unfortunately i joined the upper and lower wing parts together before i took any pictures.
