Good stuff. Heard mixes reviews about those things not sticking.
I used the WW1 stitching and had some that wouldn't stick well. Found a good workaround is to rub them on clear decal film, then cut the decal and apply like normal. Should work good on a gloss finish.

In today's mail I got a great upgrade for the M kit. The muzzle blast cones on the Monogram kit are way over scale but these ones from Master are machined from brass tubing and look excellent!

Got the items from Archer, unfortunately they discontinued the dzus fasteners but sent me some screws/rivets instead. Will work ok under a coat of paint I think. Also got assorted panels and hatches, this will replace the ones already sanded off. Looking at scale drawings the round one on the center of the side panel is in the wrong spot, new one matches the drawing. Letting the hatches dry overnight, will start the screws tomorrow.

Here is the first application of rivets, unfortunately a little smaller than the molded dzus fasteners but I think it will look better under a coat of black paint!

Not too bad as I cut them into strips and can lay a strip of 4 or 5 at a time down. This keeps them straight and evenly spaced and much faster than doing them one at a time.

First, welcome to the forum and second welcome to the GB's. That's a bugger of a kit but I've done a couple, like Terry and Andy mentioned, I built my first one over forty years ago, and like Glen and Geo mention I have three Hobby Craps in the closet and two of these as well as one Hasegawa and four Tamiya, Three guess and the first two don't count on which are going to be built.

Your doing a bang up job on this at time difficult kit. I like the Kosters gear bay. The really nice thing with this kit is it can be built as so many variants, and it's inexpensive, well until you start buying all the updates.

Great work and hope to see a lot of you!

Been a few weeks since I have posted, unfortunately was doing another group build on a Facebook forum and trying to finish a F2G Corsair by the end of the month. Since I ran out of time on that one figured I'd better get back to work on this one! I finished adding the screws to all of the cowl panels. Almost time to do the interior now!
