Time to join the party and get started.
This is in fact my First Eduard Kit Build, I had always said my first build would be an R4M rocket equipped Fw190D-11 to ensure I actually did it and now the opportunity has presented itself a second time..!
The subject for this Group Build will be an Fw190D-11 White <57
My subject aircraft is even more significant in that it is the only known D-11 photographed equipped with Racks of R4M Rockets fitted under the wings.
It's W.Nr. is at this point recorded by Jerry Crandall as 22001? But is not entirely sure on the 5th digit.

Only a limited number of Fw190D-11 were built and deployed toward the end of WW2 in the 220000 Series Werk Nummer range, W.Nr.220017 being the highest recorded to date, although it has been noted that there may be more beyond this number.

There are currently 9 aircraft known from Photo's, but only 5 positively identified via their Werk nummer, and one other provisionally identified.
Those Known are,
220006 Tail Photo
220009 << Double White Chevrons 3 Photo's
220010 (Provisional) Red 4 JV44 White Chevron and 58 overpainted Multiple Photo's
220011 <57 White Chevron and 57 Multiple photo's
220014 <61 White Chevron and 61 Multiple Photo's
220017 <<- White Double Chevron and Bar Multiple Photo's
<53 White Chevron and 53 Single Photo
<57 White Chevron and 57 with R4M Rockets Single photo
Red 2 JV44 Multiple Distant photo's None showing much detail

Thanks Guys, well hoping they won't Andy.......:)

Anyway I started this kit back in GB38 but knew quickly it would not make the deadline so i whacked a few bits together at the time thinking....did I make a mistake or not...?
I completed the engine and glued it into one side of the fuselage along with the exhausts AND glued the rear fuselage together leaving the front still open to add the cockpit by opening out the forward halves....cockpit also had been started....

Thanks guys, the real new construction stuff now, finished the extra cockpit bits and then spread the forward fuselage carefully to fit the cockpit, was a bit of effort to get it in there without breaking anything but succeeded.....
modified the wing by removing the small portion of plastic needed to get the fit of the gun cover just right, last pic a test fit....not bad at all....
