Thanks Guys, and yes Andy I am mindful of that part of the process....
Next stage I have taken a different path to my normal process, normally I like to fully assemble the wings and then add them to the fuselage.....this time as I fitted the gun covers to the upper wings i soon realised that the covers would interfere with the full wing fit and change my path.
Anyway I got such a good fit with both wing sections, that when I dryfitted the lower wings there was only 2 small spots interfering with the placement..!!!
Ok with adding the R4M rocket racks the small bulges need to be removed from under the wings, one done as you can see, plus the outer cannon port fairings also to remove as the cannons were either not fitted or removed. The Resin R4m racks were superglued in place then drilled in a couple of places to fit some brass rod in the rail tracks and through the wings to secure them to the inside of the wing with more superglue, I have found that in some instances resin items can come adrift over time......
The Brass rod will be covered by the rockets.
The lower wings were then secured in place one side then the other to get things lined up. During the dry fit I identified 2 spots inside the undercarriage bay where the main wing spar and fuselage met that needed a little trimming beforehand.
I also made up some plasticard inserts to fill the 30mm ejection chutes and backing inside the wings for the other chutes to simplify things....for me..!
Thanks Guys, not much modelling or computer time over the past week.....
however a few days ago I added the horizontal stabs to the tail and Ailerons to the main wings and today managed to throw on the Silver / NMF to the lower wings and fuselage extension...these pics tomorrow.
